Coton House uniquely combines real estate and interior design services within a single hybrid organization. The boutique agency has deep Houston roots. Laurie Coton, the founder, is a native Houstonian along with most of her agents.

She conceived the idea of Coton House to fulfill a recognized need in the real estate arena. Her goal is to maintain a talented team small enough to deliver personalized services dedicated to achieving a common goal with its clients. Agents are selected for their experience and motivation to develop lasting relationships through excellent service. They initiate marketing and positioning strategies for residential and commercial properties for sale or lease. Each agent brings different strengths and contributions to the team. They are multicultural and speak a variety of languages, including Spanish, French, Arabic Urdu, Gujarati and Hindi.

Agents have immediate access to the design group who can advise their sellers on how best to position the property from a design standpoint for an accelerated sale. Conversely, the team is able to advise a buyer on whether a property has structural, foundation or other deficiencies. Investors interested in updating and flipping properties for resale rely on Coton House for information to determine cost estimates for proposed renovations.

Once the transaction is finalized, the relationship continues. The design team is available to consult on decisions such as paint selections and finishes, furniture placement or acquisition. If the new homeowner is interested in kitchen or bathroom updates, The agency will consult on remodeling options.

Formed in 2018, Laurie Coton has 15+ years of real estate experience and is the President-Elect of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) with 23 years of interior design credentials.
