2022 Color of the Year

New year, new look! One of the easiest ways to update your home is with a new coat of paint. Here are the Color of Year for 2022 from different paint brands. Note that all colors derive from nature. Calm, cozy, and relaxing environments is what designers are creating, since many have started spending more time at home after the pandemic.

Nothing screams nature like the color green and is seen as common color across multiple brands. As the green movement grows, people are starting to embrace design that impacts their lives. Here are some of the greens seen that were named color of the year.

  • October Mist by Benjamin Moore
  • Evergreen Fog by Sherwin-Williams
  • Olive Sprig by PPG
  • Breezeway by Behr

The majority of the remaining colors seem to be in the cool tones. The blues inspiring calmness, while the purple inspires stability with the calmness of the blue undertones and the fierce energy of the red.

  • Very Peri by Pantone
  • Valspar 2022 Colors of the Year- Mountain River
  • Aleutian by HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams

Lastly, Art and Craft by Dunn-Edwards reminds me of the earth and inspires coziness. It also give a grounding feel to the space. Although it is not a considered a cool color, it is still a soothing color to consider adding to your space.
